International Labor Day is celebrated  on 1st May every year in the India and in the world also. Today in this article we will about international labour day 2022 theme, international labour day history and why international labour day is celebrated.

When I see a building talking to the sky in the city, I think of its foundation, on which the building is standing high, I think of the bricks which are made of cement and sand by adding spices.

The man who lays the foundation of the building, the man whose clothes are soaked in mud and who happily makes bricks for a building is a labourer.

Somewhere he extracts coal from the ground, sometimes he is seen building roads, somewhere he sweats throughout the day in factories, and somewhere he builds a bridge with a helmet on his head.

International Labour Day History

Before 1886, workers in America were made to work for 10 to 15 hours in a day, their safety was not even taken care of during the work, they used to get many injuries, some people used to get seriously injured and So many laborers also used to die during the work.

Against this, in 1886, the voices of the citizens and laborers were raised and they came out for demonstration on the streets. During the second meeting of the 1986 International Socialist Conference, May 1 is considered to be the beginning of celebrating International Workers’ Day or May Day.

In Europe, this day has been traditionally declared as a spring holiday and in about 80 countries of the world this day has been declared as a National Holiday. In Canada and the United States, Labor Day falls on the first Monday of September.

Why Labour Day is Celebrated ?

Every year on May 1, the day is dedicated to them with the aim of paying respect to the laborers and workers. Which is known as Labor Day, Labor Day, Labor Day, May Day.

Labor is that important person of our society, without whose contribution the progress of this society cannot be imagined. In true sense, labor is a powerful pillar of our Indian economy and industrial progress.

Respect Labour

Every one should respect labour. There is no fixed job of a worker. Every person who quells the fire of his stomach with the drop of his sweat, feeds his family, is a laborer, he is a laborer. Who gets a fixed remuneration for his day’s work.

The laborer’s identity is that of a self-respecting personality, one should not mistake it for compulsion.

Even after so many years of independence, today the workers are deprived of their rights.

Even today their condition is not good in this society. He feels cheated. No one cares about his dreams.

In this rising inflation, even today, they get to eat the same dry bread in the morning and evening, when the excess dries up, they swallow it after dipping in tea or eat it with chutney.

For many days, pulses or vegetables were not made in their homes.

When a laborer returns home after working hard in the evening, he tries to take some vegetables, fruits of his family members in a bag hanging in the handle of the cycle, when he goes to the market, he sees the increased prices of vegetables and fruits, then sometimes Frustrated, he takes the empty bag home. He sometimes tries to take copies, books, salat and khiryas for his children while returning home.

When the laborer takes his children to the fair, he tries to get toys for his children. If he is not able to get it due to paucity of money, then his children do not get disappointed, they also understand their poverty, only then they make their toys as their toys.

Sometimes they entertain their mind by driving a bicycle tire, and sometimes they tie a rope to a brick and start pulling it thinking it to be their car and vehicle.

I have also seen such people in my life who, to teach their children to count from 1 to 100, make 100 clay balls and keep them in a bag, their children learn to count up to 100 by counting those clay tablets.

A laborer wants that his children should not have to work, he wants to educate his children so that the darkness of their life can be ended with the light of education.

The laborer does not want that the coal mine in which he works, why does that mine spew gold for its owner, but he wants that the stove of his house should also keep burning.

A laborer does not complain why his master’s garden is full of flowers and fruits, he complains that the flour canisters in his house are empty.

A worker wants so much that he should get his right and the right remuneration for his hard work. So that this dark night that has been in his life for years ends, ends and a new dawn comes.

Just waiting for that morning, he wakes up with his gaze and goes on working. But that morning will come when they get their darkness, hospitals for the workers, good schools for the education of their children.
